Kobrin district: village councils

Bukhovich — the agrotown, the center of Bukhovichsky village council, on the river Mukhavets. The area of village council makes 155,5 sq.km. The Bukhovichsky Village Council includes 23 settlements:. Birch. Birch Kostinskaya. Big Lepesa. Borsches, Bosyach, agr-to Bukhovichi, Gorizdrichi. Oak, Evsimovichi, Eremichi, of Zosima. Name-day, Kamenka, of Kozishche. Legates, of Leskovo, Lutsevichi. Small Lepesa, of Minyank, of Ploshchina (uninhabited), of Podolesye, Recyca, of Striya.

The center of the Village Council is located on the northeast from the city and railway station Kobrin, in 8 km of of Kobrin, 58 from Brest. In the north the Village Council borders in Pruzhansky district, the East – Ostromichsky and Zalessky by the Village Councils of Kobrin district, in the West – on the Tevelsky Village Council of Kobrin district, in the south – since Kobrin.

On October 12, 1940 in the territory of Kobrin district 13 village councils are formed. Among them: Zosimovsky, Kozishchensky, Lepesovsky, Eremichsky. The Zosimovsky village council (the center of of Zosima) included 16 settlements. There were 286 yards, 1334 inhabitants, 5368 hectares of the earth, 3 elementary schools, from them 2 Belarusian, one Ukrainian, 3 shops, 2 windmills, the house reading room.

The Kozishchensky village council (the center of of Kozishche) included 11 settlements. There were 388 yards, 2013 inhabitants, 4117 hectares of the earth, 3 elementary schools, 2 cooperative shops, the house reading room. In Lepesovsky village council (the center of. Small Lepesa) vkhodili13 settlements. There were 475 yards, 2368 inhabitants, 3883 hectares of the earth, 4 elementary schools, kindergarten, 3 windmills, the house reading room, shop, brick-works.

The Eremichsky village council (the center of Eremichi) included 23 settlements. There were 638 yards, 2967 inhabitants, 5266 hectares of the earth, incomplete average and five elementary schools, the house reading room, mail, out-patient clinic, general store, 4 shops, veterinary station, MTS, 3 mills.

In 1939 the Eremichsky village council with settlements was formed: Eremich, Bukhovichi, Podolesye, Bosyach, Birch, Leskovo, Minyank, Evsimovichi, Gorizdrichi. ShOSTAK Ivan Kuzmich was the chairman of village council at that time. Due to the strengthening of village councils in 1959 villages of the Lepesovsky Village Council were attached to the Eremichsky Village Council: Big Lepesa and Small Lepesa, Legates, Name-day, and also Zosimovsky Village Council: Zosima, Striya, Recyca, Borsches, Ploshchina and Kozishchensky Village Council: Kozishche, Kamenka. In 1975 the Eremichsky village council was renamed into Bukhovichsky in connection with its moving to the new building to Bukhovichi.

The territory of Bukhovichsky village council is located in the western part of Polesia Lowland, within the Brest Polesia. The surface of the Village Council has a monotonous low-lying relief. The highest mark (153 m) is located in forest area approximately in kilometer on the southeast from of Kozishche, the lowest – in the place of falling of river of Dakhlovk into river Mukhavets in the natural boundary the Pitchfork (141 m).

The territory of Bukhovichsky village council is poor on minerals. There are fields of clays near. A name-day (15 hectares), Small Lepesa it (is developed), by Recyca it (is developed), there are small reserves of construction sand.

Climate of Bukhovichsky village council moderate and continental, unstable and damp, with warm summer and in rather soft winter. Air masses of generally western transfer during the warm period and prevalence of east transfer in the winter. Average annual air temperatures make +7.2 °C. The coldest month - January, the warmest - July. An amount of precipitation about 550 mm a year.

Across the territory of the residential district the rivers Dakhlovka and Mukhavets flow, there are artificial reservoirs near of Podolesye, Evsimovichi, Eryomichi, there is a big network of meliorative channels, and also the pits filled with water.

The main types of soils are cespitose and podsolic sandy, sandy and loamy. Are available also cespitose and carbonate gley, cespitose and gley.

The small part of village council is engaged at the northeast with forest area of the mixed type, with prevalence of a pine. There are birchwoods, alder thickets, small plantings of an oak and an ash-tree. The following species of plants included in the Red List of Republic of Belarus meet: kasatik Siberian, water-lily white, ivy ordinary, censer Sarmatian. On the most part of the territory cultural plants and introduced species grow.

In forest area wild boars, elks, wild goats, hares, roes meet, on the rivers and meliorative canals there are a lot of beavers. Rare species of mammals, birds, and reptiles live: eagle owl, crane gray, lynx, swan shipun, beaver, marsh turtle. It is possible to see a huge variety of insects. Ostalnaya Square of village council is busy with anthropogenous landscapes (an arable land, meadows, roads, canals, structures).

In the territory of the Village Council 3 agricultural enterprises (JSC Kobrinskoye, APO Pokrovsky, SPU "Minyanka" of JSC Kobrinrayagroservice), PMK – 52, an ostrich's farm of SOOO "PM and Company", the Zasimovsky forest area and the Zasimovsky nursery forest, CLUMPS "Brestobldorstroy" Kobrin DRSU 201 are located (. Big Lepesa), Kobrin site Beloozyorskaya DSPMK-26 Unitary Enterprise.

Across the territory of the Bukhovichsky Village Council routes of republican P2 value (Kobrin – Columns) and P102 are laid (Kobrin – Kamenets). There is a wide network of local roads. All settlements are connected by roads having either an asphalt, or gravel covering. There passes the branch of the Friendship oil pipeline.

In the territory of the Village Council four preschool institutions (Eryomichsky day nursery gardens, Minyansky kindergarten, Bukhovichsky kindergarten, Imeninsky kindergarten), three schools (Bukhovichsky BSh, Minyansky SSh, Imeninsky SSh), Imeninsky music school, two out-patient clinics (Eryomichskaya, Imeninsky), four FAPA are located (Zasimovsky, Kozishchensky, Beryozovsky, Lepesovsky). From cultural institutions three libraries (of Minyank, Eryomichi, Bukhovichi) and one rural Recreation center (Bukhovichi) are placed.

And also there is a network of establishments of trade of various forms of ownership, two complex places of acceptance and baths. The religious organizations are presented by four Orthodox churches (Bukhovichi, of Kozishche. Birch, Eryomichi) and one Christiaan of belief evangelical (. Name-day). Public association "Belarusian charitable society "Emanuil".
