UO "Kobrin State Professional College of Builders"

History
The Kobrin technical training college No. 102 of builders is formed in the fourth quarter 1968 in pursuance of the order of the Chairman of the State Committee of Council of ministers of BSSR on vocational training and the Minister of Rural construction of BSSR No. 171/267 of September 24, 1968 on the basis of Brestselstroy trust with the contingent of the studying 300 people. The first set made only 88 people. The first three groups of pupils began occupations on February 18, 1969 when in school the first call rang out. The first release of pupils took place in December of the same year. Training of the first pupils was provided on simple construction specialties: painter, bricklayer, plasterer, carpenter. Originally the school was placed in the hostel of the former PMK-70 (Lenin Square, 4) where four cool rooms were equipped. In the cellar of the hostel the public canteen of the district union and confectionery shop, and also the dining room where pupils ate were placed.



During the period from 1972 to 1982 forces of pupils, training officers and teachers constructed production workshops sports and assembly halls, offices and the hostel are issued.

The school gained new development with moving in 1982 to the industrial practice case on Dzerzhinsky St., 54. The set of pupils increased to 220 people a year. There was an opportunity to train pupils on more difficult construction specialties with receiving secondary education.

In January, 1985 the new hostel on 395 places is put into operation. On July 29, 1997 the school is renamed into the highest technical training college of builders. In 2003 – it is renamed into UO "Kobrin State Professional College of Builders".

Today 562 pupils are trained at the levels providing professional and secondary vocational education, 240-260 - is issued annually.

Preparation is carried out by professions:
- bricklayer, mostovshchik, concreter;
- assembler of sanitary systems and equipment, electric and gas welder;
- painter, plasterer, facing worker-tiler;
- joiner, carpenter, machine operator of woodworking machines;
- machine operator of a wide profile;
- technician-builder (SSO).

For years of existence of college more than 8 thousand qualified specialists in construction specialties are trained. In college there are all conditions for study, work, sports and rest of both pupils, and employees of college. For theoretical and practical training of pupils 23 educational offices, 7 educational workshops are equipped. In college there are assembly and sports halls, stadium, a gym, a disco, library.

Preparation is carried out by professions:

machine operator of a wide profile;
technician-builder (SSO).

Reception conditions:
- transfer on the level of vocational training is carried out on a GPA of the certificate or the certificate on basic education.
- the pupils who successfully finished training at vocational training level for transfer take examinations for the level of secondary vocational education in the specialty.
